Frequently Asked Questions

I keep the process straightforward and professional. Everything you may want to know before your project begins.

Working With Me

  • Every project is personally evaluated by me ahead of time. Some jobs are completed by me alone, and others may include a small crew of up to three painters depending on the scope and timeline. Either way, I’m hands-on and involved from prep to final touch-ups, ensuring the same high standard on every job.

  • I specialize in high-end residential interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, and cabinet refinishing. If you’re unsure whether your project is a fit, send the details and I’ll point you in the right direction.

  • A high-end finish comes from proper prep, clean execution, and a process that stays consistent from start to finish. My focus is crisp lines, smooth finishes, clean work habits, and results that hold up over time.

  • Both. Whether it’s one room or an entire home, the standard stays the same.

Estimates & Pricing

  • Pricing is based on scope, surface conditions, prep requirements, height/access, and the level of finish required. After reviewing the details, I provide a clear written quote so everything is straightforward.

  • Yes, I do. I’d rather give you an accurate pricing upfront than guess and adjust later.

  • Most projects are priced as a fixed quote for the full scope of work. That keeps things clear and predictable on both sides.

  • It depends on the season and project size. If you have a preferred time window, reach out early and I’ll do my best to accommodate it.

  • A single room often takes 1–2 days depending on prep and dry times. Larger projects vary, and I’ll give you a realistic timeline before we start.

  • In some cases, yes, especially for smaller jobs or scheduling needs. Mention your availability in your message and I’ll let you know what I can do.

Scheduling & Timing

  • If you can remove smaller items, that keeps things moving smoothly. When larger furniture needs to be relocated, I can take care of moving and protecting it. Depending on the scope, furniture handling may be included as an additional line item in the estimate.

  • I use drop cloths and paper protection as needed, and I keep the work area clean and organized throughout the project.

  • Yes. Standard repairs like nail holes, small dents, cracks, and minor patchwork are always included as part of my painting prep. The level of repair and smoothing is adjusted based on the finish you want. For larger projects, I also offer full drywall services, including hanging, taping, mudding, and finishing.

  • Yes. I keep the workspace neat daily and leave your home respected, not disrupted.

Prep, Protection & Cleanliness

  • In most cases, I supply the paint and materials to ensure consistent quality and the best final result. During the estimating phase, I’ll present a few product options based on the finish level you’re aiming for; good, better, or best, so you can choose what fits your goals and budget.

  • Most paint work includes two coats for consistent coverage and durability, unless your scope notes otherwise.

  • Yes, absolutely. If you want guidance, I can help you narrow down choices based on lighting, style, and the look you’re going for.

  • It depends on the project. I use the method that produces the cleanest finish for the surface and conditions (and keeps your home protected).
